Knit wit
I am becoming obsessed with knitting blogs. I have bookmarked about 10 and they each have links to 20 or more etc. I am, I think, an obsessive person : not for drugs or alcohol or gambling, thank heavens, but for other less harmful things. Well I think they are less harmful. All I want to think about and do now, mostly, is knit. Well knit and read, and sew. I have too many obsessions. I can’t help it. Does this make me a seriously mentally challenged person??
If I was really retired for any other reason than being ill, I would play tennis and learn to tap dance. I was thinking of this yesterday as I drove past the tennis club. I used to play tennis for my school and I enjoy the game, but now I could only play if I stood still and Alicia Molik sent the balls to the correct spot right in front of me so I could return it without moving!!!
We are about to have morning tea with the GardyGardeners and I made Mars Bar slice, recipe will follow, and then later on I am having my hair cut. After my disastrous run in with the policeman from hell last time, I am hoping for a much less exciting time.
There I was sitting on the couch with Peri idly knitting away and I thought I should just check when my hair appointment was. It was at 12 o’clock and it was already 11-40!!!!! I had the quickest get ready and drive into town, which despite my green and tree filled old house suburb, is only 3 minutes away!! ( You would never know!!) I was able to park and be there on time. I bought a new pale green blouse with small olive, forest and khaki vine leaves on it for $9 at the Red Cross Shop. I shall be supporting them regularly as they give me blood for free to keep me alive!!!
Mars Bars Slice
1 Mars Bar
30 g butter
1 cup of puffed rice ( Rice Bubbles?)
Melt Mars Bar and butter in a pan over a low heat, mix in puffed rice and then press firmly into a pan. Refrigerate and then drizzle with extra chocolate.
You just multiply the recipe so:
2 Mars Bars
60 g butter
2 cups of puffed rice etc.
