If I was a rich man..........
Ok, I have been tagged and I must paste this below and do the thing it says. I don’t know three other people to tag so I will be sad Luddite Tagged Person!!!! I could tag the Labradors but they just want to own a Butcher's shop.
Pick five and fill in the blank :
If I could be a scientist…
If I could be a farmer…
If I could be a musician…
If I could be a doctor…
If I could be a painter…
If I could be a gardener…
If I could be a missionary…
If I could be a chef…
If I could be an architect…
If I could be a linguist…
If I could be a psychologist…
If I could be a librarian…
If I could be an athlete…
If I could be a lawyer…
If I could be an inn-keeper…
If I could be a professor…
If I could be a writer…
If I could be a llama-rider…
If I could be a bonnie pirate…
If I could be an astronaut…
If I could be a world famous blogger…
If I could be a justice on any one court in the world…
If I could be married to any current famous political figure…
I have to choose 3 ( or 5?)
Well, If I could be a Librarian, I would wear a label that said ‘Liberian’ as that’s how most children pronounce it, and I could read all the new books as soon as they came to the Library!
If I could be a gardener, my backyard would not resemble deepest, darkest Africa and I would grow more than just Egyptian broad beans, which is the only crop I grew last year!!
If I could be married to any current famous political figure it would be a toss up between Edward Gough and Paul Keating. They are so cool in a statesman-like way. I get all quivery when I think of their political reforms and innovations!!! I’m not like the ‘miwyonair’ man, the non-erudite Eddie who, apparently, thought Aung San Suu Kyi was a man. He is an idiot!!!
OK I am going for 5…
If I could be a professor I could have Jerry O’Connell as my student!! How cool would that be? Having the
Q-Ball as a student. I love Sliders, such a good show and I have the first season boxed DVD set now too.
If I could be a writer it would be an excellent career as it involves a lot of sitting down and reading: two things I am quite experienced in!! I would also have enormous fun choosing pseudonyms!!!
Pecan Fudge Squares
Frozen (or home made ) short crust pastry
1 tspn mixed spice
300g brown sugar
55 g caster sugar
250 g butter
375 g chopped pecans
60 ml thickened cream
Roll out thawed pastry and line a slice tin ( 19 x 29 cm) making sure the pastry extends up the sides. ( oh, grease and line the tin) Sprinkle the base with the mixed spice.
Make the filling by placing the sugars in a pan over a low heat with the butter. Stir till the sugar is dissolved, bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes without stirring. Add cream and nuts. Pour filling into pastry and bake in a hot oven for about 25 minutes. Cool in tin and refrigerate overnight.
